Dan and Sara Dangerfield

Lead Pastor

Dan and Sara, both native to Minnesota, have been part of the Assemblies of God since childhood. Pastor Dan received his bachelor's degree in Children’s Ministry from North Central University in 2003, and his master’s degree in Missional Leadership from Trinity Bible College in 2020.

Having been in ministry for nearly 20 years, both Dan and Sara have a heart for raising up the church to reach their personal world, whether it be their workplace, community or home. It is their desire to raise up a pastor in every home, creating healthy marriages and raising Christ-like children. They believe the church is the hope for the lost, broken, discouraged and battered.

Dan enjoys golfing, Sara values the written word, and together they gladly play taxi for their three children and all their activities.

Emily Conlin

Children's Ministry Director

Emily is a native Arizonan, who met her husband, Ben, while he was stationed at Luke AFB. She has a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a master’s degree in Professional Writing. Emily and her family had been heavily involved in their local church, and it wasn’t long before Ben found himself serving as well. After being impacted by her local youth group while she was in high school, it was easy for Emily to find her passion in bringing the next generation closer to God. Together, her and Ben provided leadership in their youth group for five years before they began moving around with the military. Emily got involved with Journey Kids after being invited to shadow one Sunday and it was clear that this was the area God wanted her to invest in. Emily believes that serving in Children’s ministry doesn’t stop at the kiddos, but extends to the family as a whole. She is thrilled to be serving Journey Kids in this season of her life!

Chantz Hall

Worship Pastor

Chantz and Alyssa both grew up in the church. Alyssa was in Canada until she moved to Minot at the age of 16. Chantz started attending Journey Church at the age of six years old. They met at church and both attended Chi Alpha in college where they met and fell in love. After getting their bachelor’s degrees, Chantz in Music and Alyssa in Special Education, they both felt the call to ministry and left Minot to attend the Campus Missionary Internship Training program in Fargo, ND.
While living in Fargo, they served as interns at Minnesota State University - Moorhead. Following their internship they served as directors of Chi Alpha at Upper Iowa University, and Alyssa was also the Children’s Pastor for two years at Crosspoint Church - Waverly.

On a visit to Minot, both Chantz and Alyssa felt the call to come back and be the Chi Alpha directors at Minot State University. They served in Minot for 4 years until the Lord called them to join the staff at Journey Church as the worship pastor.

Chantz and Alyssa are proud parents of Zechariah, Jedidiah, Jaella, and Hadassah.

Amanda Jost

As the Connections Pastor she leads and trains small group leaders across all Journey Church campuses. In Minot, she follows up with those who fill out a connect card on Sunday mornings and helps people find their next right step whether it's attending a welcome lunch, checking out Growth Track, or participating in a small group.

As a born and raised North Dakotan, she enjoys spending time outside in (almost) any season North Dakota has to offer. She has been to 10+ countries on mission trips and other travels. India and Israel have been her favorites thus far. She is currently going back to school for clinical mental health counseling. Her hope in this is to support the health and well-being of those she leads.
